Contractor Licensing: The contractors who provide you with home improvement services, such as painting, roofing etc., should be registered with the State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection. There is a “guarantee fund” provided by the State which is only available if the vendor is currently licensed through the State of Connecticut.
