Twin Rivers

Should a community association be permitted to regulate a homeowner's ability to post political signs on his (or her) own property or on common elements, use association meeting space, or publish his views in the association newsletter? The Appellate Division in New Jersey handed down a ruling in February saying those activities may well be protected by the New Jersey Constitution's protection of a citizen's right to freedom of expression.

The decsion is expected to be appealed. However, the issues raised are sure to be raised again, and in other parts of the country.
